Alisa is Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at Georgia State University. She is co-editor of Media Industries: History, Theory, and Method (Wiley-Blackwell, 2009) and author of Indie, Inc.: Miramax and the Transformation of Hollywood in the 1990s (forthcoming, University of Texas Press). She also currently serves as Coordinating Editor of In Media Res.
